'If I speak': Journalist shares what Mo Salah said as he walked to the Liverpool coach after today's game

Mohamed Salah made headlines for all the wrong reasons against West Ham after a nasty spat with Jurgen Klopp.

Salah has been poor for Liverpool of late, looking like he’s failed to properly shake off an injury from the New Year.

And with the Reds having given up their title fight with a whimper on Wednesday, Klopp dropped the Egyptian to the bench for Saturday’s lunchtime fixture.

Salah had looked upset about that decision ahead of the game, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.

As the manager turned to his No.11 with just over ten minutes remaining, an argument between the pair broke out.

Not a good look at all.

The argument between Klopp and perhaps the best player of his era at the club is obviously big news.

Just three games out from the end of the German’s tenure at Anfield, it’s really the last thing supporters will want to see.

Obviously, everyone will be wanting to get Jurgen and Mo’s side of things.

Pearce also adds that Salah reviewed any interview requests further, keeping the nine-word comment his only say on the disappointing affair so far.

In our opinion, it’s unwise to comment to much on these internal disputes without knowing the full facts.

Having said that, we’re inclined to side more with the manager on this ocassion.

If Salah had been playing brilliantly and driving his team towards the title, then that would be different.

But the truth is that Mo deserved to be benched today.

We don’t know what was said to kick off the argument, but you can’t react like that towards your manager.

Unfortunately, with Saudi clubs still circling Salah, we think this will be one of his last involvements in a Liverpool shirt.

Klopp may be going already, but Mo’s body language doesn’t suggest a man who’s ready to stay and give his all.
