"He’s started nine league games last season, he only started two this calendar year, what kind of service do you get out of Oxlade-Chamberlain?

"He’s at a great football club, if he recognises he can only get 12 or 15 games a season regardless of who it is, if you’re going to get 12 or 15 games a season there’s no better place than Liverpool."

Last season, Oxlade-Chamberlain made 28 appearances in all competitions and only 17 of those came in the league.

If Oxlade-Chamberlain recognises that because of his injury history, because of how he may have to train, rehab, Liverpool are willing to stick by him to offer him all the support he needs.
