Mark Lawrenson says he’s almost certain one Liverpool player is going to leave after seeing the Everton game

The Jurgen Klopp era at Liverpool is basically over.

Yes, there are four games to go, but after a loss to Everton on Wednesday evening, the title seems to be beyond reach and there’s nothing to play for.

It is the end of an era at Anfield, and Klopp may not be the only high-profile name to depart Liverpool this summer.

Indeed, there’s been tons of speculation around a number of the Reds’ star players as of late, and according to Mark Lawrenson, speaking to Off the Ball, Mohamed Salah is likely to leave this summer.

Mohamed Salah likely to leave Liverpool

Lawrenson spoke about Salah’s future.

“I think Salah will go. Even more so with that defeat and looking like they’re not going to win the league. So the new manager will have a pot of money if he wants to buy another striker,” Lawrenson said.

“Salah goes, and I’m pretty certain he will go, and maybe you can buy two strikers.”

Mohamed Salah’s natural conclusion

As much as we hate to say it, this could be the perfect point for Salah to call time on his Liverpool career.

Salah and Klopp have been one of the best duos in Premier League history, and there would be something quite poetic if they both left at the same time.

Salah has been amazing for Liverpool, and the new manager would surely want him to stick around, but we wouldn’t blame the winger at all if he did decide that this was it and he was ready to go.

Saudi clubs are still circling, and given how much Salah has achieved at Liverpool, he may feel as though this chapter of his career has run its course and that it’s now time to start a new adventure over in the middle east.

Don’t be shocked if Salah does go this summer.
