Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side loved playing against Manchester United during his storied tenure at the club.

The former Reds boss left Merseyside after nearly nine years leading the charge at Anfield in his usual enigmatic style.

Klopp dragged the side back from poor recent form without any major trophies to their name and led the club to Premier League and Champions League glory.

He etched his name into the rich tapestry of the history of Liverpool, and during his time, he had some very famous wins against rivals from Manchester, but especially United.

The German won seven games against the Mancunian side in his time, but of course, the most famous victory had to be the unbelievable 7-0 thrashing, which will live on in infamy.

The Red Devils have been incredibly poor since they sacked long-time manager Sir Alex Ferguson and have not been able to find any coach who can help them find form, with nine managers, including interims, since he retired.

This awful form coincided with a renaissance for Liverpool led by Klopp, which saw the roles reverse, and now, with his trophies added to the tally, the Reds are the most successful club in English football history.

Since the 58-year-old decided to take a step back from the coaching side of football, he has found himself in the Global Head of Soccer job for the Red Bull group.

During one of these recent trips to South Africa, he met a young footballer at an event who told the former boss of the Merseyside giants that he supported United.

In a TikTok posted by the fan, the ex-Liverpool boss gave a hilariously explicit response to the young man.

He laughed: “You’ve been watching s- -t football for 6 years.

Wow, I’m really sorry.”

It was all in good fun, with both of them laughing at the jibe at his former rivals.

The first major trophy won by the iconic Reds boss was the European Cup in 2019, where his side beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the final.

Klopp led his side to an extraordinary comeback against Barcelona in the semi-finals, winning 4-3 on aggregate with help from Georginio ‘Gini’ Wijnaldum and Divock Origi.

When asked in a 433 interview who scored the winner of the final in which the team lifted the trophy, his response was fast as he gave praise to the Belgian Origi.

He said: “Divock Origi, the legend.

Football is nothing without Divock Origi.”
