Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has said that he will wait until the last moment to sign Ryan Kent.

The Liverpool winger was one of the best performers in the Scottish Premiership last season, and the Herald Scotland reports the Gers are trying to sign him on another loan deal.

Liverpool already sent Sheyi Ojo on loan to Rangers, and they have several options for the wide positions.

However, the former Liverpool captain wanted Kent but claimed the decision has to be taken by Liverpool as well (h/t Herald Scotland): The English manager added that Kent was a great talent and should do well next season too: The English winger has been one of the bright sparks for Liverpool in the pre-season, and it will be interesting to see if we sell or loan him out for the season.

The winger would not get many first-team starts if he remains at Anfield, but could be a decent cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Liverpool also have Harry Wilson on their books and the Welshman has looked sharp so far in pre-season.

The Reds have already sent Marko Grujic out on loan to Hertha Berlin and there could be more outgoings before the start of the campaign.
