Liverpool will soon turn their attention to selling stars and some might cause a big upset among the fanbase.

The Reds are being ruthless this summer and after spending close to £200m, a figure that will rise significantly, they will start to ship some players out.

Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott are some of the players most likely to leave, but one who has been tipped with somewhat of a surprising exit is Andy Robertson.

The arrival of Milos Kerkez has occurred at the worst possible time for the Scotsman as he has just come off the back of one of his worst seasons in a Liverpool shirt, at least by his high standards.

Atletico Madrid were interested but have since moved on, although his Anfield future is still far from certain.

The Reds need to decide whether to keep or sell the 31-year-old as they currently have three left-back options, although one ex-Arsenal player has suggested it would be a huge mistake to let him go.

The Reds will likely sell either Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas, although no one knows which one will leave just yet.

Robertson might be getting older but he still has plenty to offer, with the former Arsenal full-back believing that his stamina is one of the best in the world.

When asked to build his perfect left-back based on six traits, Gibbs selected Robertson as the full-back with the best stamina, indicating what Liverpool would miss out on if they let him go.

“Andy Robertson.

Has immense stamina, he’s very consistent, he gets up and down that line, supports the attack, supports the defence, another great player,” Gibbs said.

After registering just one assist in the league last season, his numbers have clearly taken a downturn but his running numbers and effort definitely have not.

This is something that cannot really be coached and really does make the Scotsman one of a kind, suggesting that it should be him who stays and Tsimikas who goes.

It is clear to see that the 31-year-old will not be first-choice next season due to the arrival of the Hungarian, especially as Kerkez has already looked impressive in their first pre-season friendly.

But, his role might be just as vital as he is a huge character off the pitch and certainly brings morale up, something needed ahead of the busy upcoming season.

He also knows what it takes to become one of the best in the world and perform consistently, something he can pass onto Kerkez and help turn him into a world-beater.

With the amount of games the Reds will likely play too, Robertson will still get chances himself and can prove that last season was just a one off, giving Liverpool two excellent options at left-back as they look to win the lot.
