Alexis Mac Allister enjoyed an excellent second season with Liverpool.
The Reds were dominant on their way to picking up the Premier League trophy and Alexis Mac Allister played a vital role in helping them achieve this.
The Argentine was nothing short of sensational for Arne Slot and created moments of magic in times of need, as shown by the number of wonder goals he produced.
Mac Allister wants to become one of the world’s best, and after playing 35 of Liverpool’s 37 league games this season, he is well on his way to achieving that feat.
Despite international fixtures coming up, the 26-year-old will certainly be getting a well-earned rest over the summer, although it might be longer than he would have originally hoped.

As one of not only Liverpool’s best players this season but one of the standouts across the entire league, Mac Allister would usually be one of the first names on Argentina’s teamsheet.
However, after a manic season and not much rest, manager Lionel Scaloni has decided to leave him out, with Mac Allister showing his annoyance in an interview with Argentinian company TyC Sports.

“Not being on the squad list infuriates me,” Mac Allister said.
“Sometimes it’s a question I ask myself every day, but I’ve had some issues throughout the year.
It’s not a major injury, it’s a minor one, but it’s better to rest before it gets worse.
We have the World Cup very close.”
His annoyance might be justifiable too as not only have his performances been good enough to start for his national side, but he is being left out of some very big games.
Argentina face Chile and Colombia in the World Cup Qualifiers, although they are sitting pretty at the top of the table, but that does not mean ‘Macca’ was not desperate to feature.
Mac Allister has been in the news a lot this week, with it firstly being reported that he may be forced to give up his number 10 shirt for Liverpool’s soon-to-be new signing Florian Wirtz.
Reports in Germany suggested that the 22-year-old wanted to take the shirt on next season, something Wirtz himself rubbished after saying he “respects players” in an angry Instagram story post.
The deal for Wirtz is not yet complete and the saga has had its fair share of twists and turns, although Liverpool are confident and on course to demolish the British transfer record.
It will be a big season for the Reds as they seek to retain the title, but all their early business, as well as keeping key players like Mac Allister, will only put them in good stead.
