Curtis Jones is in contention to start for Liverpool against Watford this weekend.

That is according to medical expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.

“He is certainly in contention for that early kick-off against Watford.” In other news, Kieran Maguire has told Liverpool to seal “brilliant” £36.2m deal after Salah update.

Dinnery predicts Jones will be available to start on Saturday because of Carsley’s caution.

Providing there was no reaction and no reoccurrence then he will be fine to start for Liverpool.

With the midfielder not in from the start, there will be concerns over his availability for Liverpool this weekend.

However, he allayed any concerns in his country’s next game, coming off the bench in the second half and getting an assist.
