Investors ready to complete West Ham takeover, David Sullivan 'will make a killing'

West Ham United owner David Sullivan has been urged to sell the club amid a period of chaos and disruption.
Graham Potter was sacked by West Ham on Saturday (27 September), after a terrible start to the Premier League season.
Former Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has come in to replace Potter, just over two weeks after being dismissed from his position at the City Ground.
However, despite the managerial change, there is still anger directed towards Sullivan from the West Ham fanbase.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that there are enough potential bidders to trigger a change in ownership at West Ham.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that the Hammers fanbase would welcome a new owner with open arms, especially if they had plans to redevelop the London Stadium.
West Ham have been told they need to spend £400m on their ground, in order to improve the atmosphere and halt the supporter discontent.

Wyness added that Sullivan would make a lot of money if he sold the club, which could convince him to accept a bid.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I do know there are enough investors out there who would be looking to make a bid and have a go at West Ham.
But I think it does need a refresh.
I think the whole club’s starting to get a little bit stale.
“I would hope for a new owner coming into West Ham.
Provided they were coming in with a professional approach, I think they’d get the full support from West Ham fans.
“If somebody were to come in and promise the re-planning of the stadium, they’d be welcomed with open arms.
David Sullivan, if he sold, would make a killing on the investments he’s made in the club.
And I think maybe it’s time to do that.”
West Ham were nothing short of dreadful under Potter, picking up just one win from their first six games in all competitions before he was sacked.

However, the poor form on the pitch is clearly stemming from the disarray behind the scenes, leaving each manager with an impossible task.
Nuno has experience dealing with difficult ownership situations at Forest, but his spat with Evangelos Marinakis led to his departure at the City Ground.
While the Portuguese boss has the ability to get the best out of a group of players, West Ham must create stability throughout the club to allow their manager and squad to flourish.
