Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Gonçalo Ramos is attracting significant transfer interest from Premier League clubs Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United this summer of 2025. Despite joining PSG for a reported €65 million in early 2024, Ramos has struggled to secure a consistent starting position under manager Luis Enrique, primarily featuring as a substitute. Last season, he scored 19 goals and provided six assists across 46 appearances, indicating his effectiveness despite limited playtime.
Liverpool are considering Ramos as a potential long-term forward option. They have prioritized signing Newcastle’s Alexander Isak but, after an unsuccessful bid was reportedly turned down, Ramos has emerged as an alternative target. Manchester United view Ramos similarly, as a backup option if their prime target, Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, does not materialize. Newcastle also has plans to pursue Ramos concurrently with their pursuit of Sesko and have made him a concrete option, not necessarily as a replacement but possibly as an addition to bolster their attack. The 24-year-old Portuguese forward was previously linked with Newcastle during his Benfica days, and the club had agreed terms with him before PSG outbid them.
Besides the English clubs, several Serie A teams, including Juventus and Napoli, are reportedly interested in Ramos, broadening his possible destinations. PSG appears open to offloading Ramos due to his lack of regular appearances, despite his status as a Champions League winner and proven goal scorer. With multiple clubs in England and Italy showing interest, Ramos is one of the more noteworthy striker options available this transfer window.
