Crystal Palace were held to a 1-1 draw as they opened their home account in the Premier League at home to Nottingham Forest.
Oliver Glasner’s side were the most threatening of the two teams in the first half, and Ismaila Sarr opened the scoring, turning in Daniel Munoz’s cross sending the home fans into raptures.
Early in the second half Callum Hudson-Odoi got the visitors back on level pegging after latching onto a Dan Ndoye through ball to fire past Dean Henderson at his near post.
The result makes it two draws from two following their opening weekend draw away at Chelsea as attentions will now turn to the second leg of their Conference League qualifier away at Fredrikstad on Thursday.
Palace returned to Selhurst Park just four days after their Conference League qualification win over Fredrikstad.
Due to a lack of summer business Glasner’s options to rotate his squad are limited and nine of Palace’s starters also started on Thursday.

Dean Henderson – 6
Henderson wasn’t called into action often throughout the game and may feel like he could’ve done better at his near post to stop Hudson-Odoi’s effort.

Chris Richards – 6
Glasner will be happy with how his defence performed on the whole, and Richards put in an assured performance on the right side of the back three.
Maxence Lacroix – 6
Lacroix marshalled the backline well in the centre of the back three, moving possession in deep build up and mopping up any loose balls in behind from Forest’s midfielders.
Marc Guehi – 6
Embroiled in transfer news linking the England man away from Palace, Guehi was as solid as usual in defence, showcasing his qualities on the ball as well.
Daniel Munoz – 7
Munoz has become known for his marauding runs up the right flank and it was his assist that set up Sarr for Palace’s opener.
Adam Wharton – 6
Wharton wasn’t able to dictate play as well as he did on Thursday but the former Blackburn man put in the standard of performance we’ve come to expect from the young English startlet, moving the ball well and being engaged in the midfield battle.
Will Hughes – 6
The midfield battle suited Hughes well and the ex-Watford midfielder put himself about against Forest’s midfield often engaging in duels and regaining possession for Palace in midfield.
Tyrick Mitchell – 5
Mitchell was caught on his inside shoulder by Hudson-Odoi who stole through to score Nottingham Forest’s equaliser and the 25-year-old didn’t look as threatening going forward as Borna Sosa did on Thursday.
Ismaila Sarr – 7
Sarr showed it’s no Eze no problem at Selhurst Park, stealing in on Munoz’s cross to fire home, and the Senegalese forward caused problems all afternoon for the left side of Forest’s defence.
Jean-Philippe Mateta – 5
The short turnaround between games clearly impacted Mateta who struggled to make an impact on the game outside of one long range effort that Matz Sels comfortably saved.
Justin Devenny – 6
Devenny’s impact on the game was limited to flashes of creativity in and around the box but the 21-year-old struggled for consistency in a position where he’s always going to draw comparisons to his predecessor Eberechi Eze.
Romaine Esse (for Devenny, 66) – 6
Esse made his home debut for Palace this season and showed some tidy footwork during his short cameo on the pitch.
Jefferson Lerma (for Wharton, 82) – 6
Lerma added more of a robust defensive element to Palace’s midfield as Glasner looked to consolidate what his side had earned instead of pushing for the winner and the Colombian did well.
Odsonne Edouard (for Mateta, 88) – 5
Edouard had the tough task of trying to impact the game in only seven minutes on the pitch and the Frenchman did well rolling his defender, but he was largely ineffective.
