The Reds are one of the most likely teams to come away with the top-flight title this term, but if they continue playing like they have over their last few games, it’s hard to see how they’ll be challenging by the end of the season.
If Milner manages to play another 15 Premier League games this season, he’ll have made the most top-flight appearances out of any player in history.
It feels like he never ages, and while he may not be able to play all 38 games anymore, when called upon, he’s always put in the most effort out of everyone on the pitch.

Granted, that likely has a lot to do with the number of players that have been brought in, but as we’re now three games into the Premier League season, you’d have expected to see some more improvement.
