Arne Slot has been predicted by a Liverpool legend to only spend 18 months in charge of the Anfield outfit after replacing Jurgen Klopp.
This summer will see Klopp depart from his role as Reds manager after spending almost nine years in the Anfield dugout.
Slot is expected to be Klopp's successor as Liverpool boss for next season, leaving Eredivisie club Feyenoord in the process.
Ever since Klopp announced in January that he would be stepping down at the end of the season, speculation has been swirling as to what the future may hold for Liverpool.
Now that Slot is expected to be the next manager, a Reds legend has weighed in on how he expects next season to pan out.
Mark Lawrenson has explained why Slot faces an "impossible" job replacing Klopp next season - and told him what he must achieve during his first year in charge.
The former Reds defender also believes that Slot could only be Liverpool's manager for 18 months if he fails to get some early success under his belt.

"Everyone is pleased that Arne Slot to Liverpool is 99 per cent done, and that he wants to go there," Lawrenson told Paddy Power.
It’s a great job for him to get, I just feel he might only do a year, or 18 months total and then it’s whoever after that.
"It’s an impossible job and not just on the football side, but the other side that Klopp brings [off the pitch] and there’s not a great history of Dutch managers doing well in England, is there?
"They are, without being detrimental, a different animal.
