Liverpool are set to miss out on signing Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch this month, according to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
With the Reds in need of a midfield overhaul, a whole host of potential additions have been linked with the club in recent weeks.

Having failed to establish himself in Julian Nagelsmann’s XI, a Merseyside loan move was touted for the second half of the season.
However, Plettenberg has now put these rumours to bed.
The youngster played in five of their six fixtures, of which he started for Nagelsmann’s side twice.

Jurgen Klopp is in huge need of midfield additions this month, and with Gravenberch sat on the bench at Bayern, this could have been a great preposition for the Netherlands international.
However, the Bundesliga champions are not willing to part ways with the 20-year-old.
This is a shame for Liverpool, as the midfielder has previously been described as a ‘special talent’.
Now they will have to continue to look elsewhere.
