Eberechi Eze is understood to have agreed personal terms with Tottenham as he looks to seal a move from Crystal Palace.

Eze has been linked with Spurs and Arsenal throughout the summer transfer window as the north London rivals look to strengthen their attacking options.

However, former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Tottenham are closing in on a deal for the England international.

Tottenham are looking to replace James Maddison after he suffered an interior cruciate ligament injury, while former captain Son Heung-min has joined Los Angeles FC.

Thomas Frank wants to add to his attacking options after making a move to sign Eze, with Spurs set to feature in the Champions League this season. 

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness said: “Eze has become more impressive in recent weeks, hasn’t he?

I think it’s a great signing for Spurs if they get him.

“I do think he’s going to go to Spurs.

“He’s one of those that will get you out of your seat, so I think it’s a great signing.”

In terms of other transfer activity, Brown told Football Insider Tottenham are unlikely to pursue a move for Aleksandar Mitrovic.
