Milos Kerkez's father has claimed that his son's prospective move to Liverpool is almost completed.

The Reds have been heavily linked with signing the Bournemouth defender for several months.

Liverpool are interested in signing Kerkez and have been stepping up their pursuit of the Hungary international over the last couple of weeks.

The Reds are closing in on a deal for the left-back, who is thought to be valued by the Cherries at around £45 million.

So far this summer, Liverpool have announced two new signings with Jeremie Frimpong arriving from Bayer Leverkusen and Armin Pecsi moving to Anfield from Puskas Akademia.

Florian Wirtz could be the next new signing for the Reds, after a £116m deal was agreed with Leverkusen last week.

Kerkez could then be the next new arrival that Liverpool look to complete this summer.

And it seems that a deal between the Reds and the Cherries may not be far from completion.

Kerkez appeared on Super Indirektno alongside his father, Sebastijan, where the topic of the Bournemouth defender's future came up.

And the left-back's dad appeared to confirm that a move to Liverpool is in the works.

“It's only Liverpool for us and we're not going anywhere else and we won't talk to other clubs," Sebastijan Kerkez said on Super Indirektno.

"Everything is done between us (personal terms) we just need to sort out some details but it's basically a done deal."

Liverpool will be hoping to complete a deal for Kerkez before the start of pre-season training which begins next month.

The Reds also face uncertainty around the left-back position, with Andy Robertson the subject of transfer interest from Atletico Madrid.

Robertson has 12 months left on his contract at Liverpool and has emerged as a target for the La Liga outfit.

Last season saw Robertson battle with Kostas Tsimikas for the left-back spot, and the arrival of Kerkez could see a major summer of change on the left side of the defence for the Reds.
