Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund is likely to secure a return to Italy despite Fulham’s interest in signing him.
Former Old Trafford chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Ruben Amorim has told Hojlund to leave following the £74million signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
Hojlund was left out of Amorim’s squad for the 1-0 opening-day defeat to Arsenal in a clear indication his time in Manchester is coming to an end.
We won’t go down the Ratcliffe rabbit hole.
“But I do think for Hojlund it is over.
I think as everybody admitted, United looked more impressive at the weekend going forward.
I think when Sesko fits in there, I don’t think there’ll be a way for Hojlund, even as a backup.
“If Fulham can sneak him in the Premier League, I think he could do a job for them, but I do think he’s going to end up in Italy.”
