Leeds United have been told they can thrive with an American-style plan which could ensure consistent top-half finishes in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke’s side have begun their first season back in the top flight since 2022-23, and are currently sitting 16th after four games.
Last week, a 50-page document containing Leeds’ business plans for the future was leaked, including information about the stadium redevelopment and player purchasing.
In the plan, the 49ers Enterprises project that the club could be worth £1billion by 2030, which is almost a 100 per cent increase on the current estimated value of £527.5million.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that this ambitious, Americanised plan could be exactly what Leeds need.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that if everything goes well, then Leeds could be worth even more than £1bn.
The 49ers enterprises are planning a stadium expansion project at Elland Road, which would drastically improve the club’s valuation.

Wyness added that if Leeds are consistently finishing in the top 10 in the Premier League, then they will have no problem hitting their targets.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I went through the document as best I could when I found all the leaks about it.
“It shows the 49ers, as you would expect, have a classic American-type forward-looking plan with a forecast that, yes, if it goes well, of course, it could be a £1bn asset.
“There’s no reason not to believe Leeds should not be at least that and more, possibly with the new stadium improvements.
And if they’re consistently in the top 10, then yes, no problem at all.”
Meanwhile, Leeds have been given a boost to their hopes of signing Harry Wilson in January with his future role at Fulham uncertain, sources have told Football Insider.

Wilson was the subject of last-ditch talks between Leeds and Fulham on deadline day as the Whites tried to bolster their attacking options, but the deal didn’t get across the line.
Farke’s side could renew their interest in the winger in January and will fancy their chances if his minutes are on the decline at Craven Cottage.
Sources say that Wilson wants to rack up as much game-time as possible as Wales attempt to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
