Dutch and football legend Marco van Basten believes that current Feyenoord coach Arne Slot has what it takes to become the new manager of Liverpool, as the club continues to seek a replacement for Jürgen Klopp.
Van Basten, himself a coach in the 2000s with the Dutch national team, AZ Alkmaar and Ajax, believes that current Feyenoord boss Slot should be considered for the role.
"I think he’s really good," Van Basten said of Slot on Ziggo Sport’s ‘Rondo’ show (via the Metro).

‘I’ve spoken to him a few times and I think what he does and what he sees is very strong.
He's since won the Eredivisie title and also the Dutch Cup.
Moreover, former Netherlands international Wim Jonk also backed Slot to succeed at Liverpool one day.

The likes of Roberto De Zerbi, Paulo Fonseca and Thiago Motta have been connected with the mammoth task of replacing Klopp in the Reds' hot seat ahead of next season.
Slot's record for Feyenoord is 94 wins, 29 draws and 23 losses from 146 games in all competitions, with a win ratio of 64 per cent.
