So, in reality, it’s not all that much of a surprise to see Kerkez being linked with an Anfield switch.
As mentioned, Kerkez has ended up being one of Andoni Iraola’s most important players this season.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s Inside Liverpool Podcast, Danny Murphy shared why he thinks Kerkez could be an ideal fit.
“Kerkez is an all-rounder, I’ve watched him live probably three or four times, I think you get a bit more when you watch someone,” he said.

“He actually likes one-on-one defending, he doesn’t mind it, he’s got a bit about him.
“[He] loves bombing, [he’s] fit, he’s a flying machine, but his crossing, he whips it into great areas, [he’s] really confident with his delivery.”
One of Liverpool’s priority positions to improve next season was their left-back.
It was one of the main areas within the Reds’ ranks that looked weak when facing opponents, and a young player with plenty of potential, such as Kerkez, is an ideal match for the Anfield outfit.
