Everton’s new players are keen to maintain momentum at the Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of the second match at their new home.
David Moyes‘ side opened their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in style with a 2-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday, as Iliman Ndiaye and James Garner‘s goals sealed a successful opening match.
Ndiaye re-entered the Everton history books to become the Hill Dickinson Stadium’s opening goalscorer after also being the last to net at Goodison Park, as Everton‘s new-look attack continues to take shape.
Ndiaye and Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish have been joined by Tyler Dibling after his £40million move from Southampton, and all three could feature in their Carabao Cup tie against Mansfield Town.

Both Ndiaye and Garner’s goals against Brighton were laid on by Grealish on Sunday to give the Hill Dickinson Stadium faithful an instant new hero, and even Man City fans delighted at his “masterclass”.
Grealish, Ndiaye and new arrival Dibling aren’t expected to play as prominent roles in the Toffees’ second match at their new home on Wednesday, with Moyes likely to rotate significantly against Mansfield Town.
Everton’s Carabao Cup campaign ended at the first hurdle against Southampton last term, but Grealish posted on his Instagram story on Tuesday to suggest that he’s keen to prevent a repeat of that.

Posting training images alongside Garner and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall respectively, Grealish said: “Ready for tomorrow”.

Football Insider Verdict
Both Grealish and fellow new arrival Thierno Barry were both involved in both of Everton’s goals against Brighton, and the pair are expected to be flanked by Ndiaye and Dibling in Moyes’ new-look front four.
The Scot remains keen to strengthen further back in his much-changed team before the end of the transfer window, with an ambitious move for Conor Gallagher likely off the table at Atletico Madrid.
Everton have also been linked with a move for Yves Bissouma, but with Grealish, Ndiaye and Dibling up front, it’s clear that whoever occupies the Toffees’ midfield will have plenty of attacking quality to link up with.
