Thomas Tuchel should already be regretting his England selection as Jack Grealish continues to prove him wrong at Everton.

Football Insider understands that Man City are already prepared to accept permanent offers for Grealish next summer, and after just three appearances, the Toffees are likely to be at the front of the queue.

Fans were already dazzled by his ability on the ball following his 19-minute cameo against Leeds United.

Just two Premier League games later, and he has four assists to his name.

He has already struck up a telepathic relationship with Iliman Ndiaye, who was the Toffees’ main man last season, assisting both of the winger’s goals so far this term.

Despite leaving the Etihad Stadium in search of some much-needed game time, Tuchel has clearly ignored his eagerness to break back into the international team.

The German has instead chosen Marcus Rashford, who has struggled at Barcelona so far, Jordan Henderson yet again, and Noni Madueke, who has warmed the bench since his move to Arsenal.

Tuchel continues to suggest that he chooses on form, but that aforementioned trio completely argues against that, giving him no real reason to snub Grealish for games against Andorra and Serbia.

It is hardly surprising to see the winger thriving at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The main concern was going to be if he could remain fit, and he already appears to have proven that he can.

Given his performances so far, Tuchel might already be regretting his decision to leave Grealish out of the next squad, but with plenty of time until the 2026 World Cup, that could all change over the next few months.

Man City will also be hoping for the same, given that Pep Guardiola has no future plans for the 29-year-old, so more international appearances would help sell him next summer.

The player’s price tag will only continue to rise as he straps into life on Merseyside for the 2025/26 campaign, but teams are left with the same issue of covering his wages on a permanent deal.

That, of course, should play no role in his international standing, however.

Tuchel has got this one really, really wrong, and Grealish will only continue to drive that point home during his season at Everton.
