Tottenham players such as James Maddison and Micky van de Ven shared support for Djed Spence’s latest message after a development with England.
Spence has gone through a revival at Tottenham over the last 12 months and has been trusted at both left-back and right-back.
An injury crisis last term allowed the full-back to reintegrate into Ange Postecoglou’s plans last term and the 25-year-old has carried that form into the new campaign, as Spence stood out for Tottenham this season.
His consistency was recognised by Thomas Tuchel as Spence was called up to England’s senior side for the very first time in his career.
Now, after England’s latest win over Serbia, the defender made his debut and shared his instant reaction on social media.

After making his first senior appearance with England, Spence posted an emotional message on Instagram in reaction.
He said: “Today arguably the Greatest and Proudest day of my life.
Honoured to make my England debut.
GOD IS THE GREATEST!”

Other players such as Maddison, Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane reacted to the post by leaving a like on the message.
Spence was introduced into the squad after Myles Lewis-Skelly was dropped from the England squad following a poor performance, as well as the squad restrictions, with 23 players picked in the matchday team.
Still, Spence’s performances have impressed Tottenham fans and have now earned the attention of Tuchel as England edge closer to World Cup qualification.

While Spence enjoys the high of his international debut, another Spurs player faces uncertainty over his future.
Football Insider revealed that Tottenham are willing to let Yves Bissouma leave the club on loan in order to get him out the door.
The midfielder has been linked to a move to the Turkish SuperLig or Saudi Pro League, as both countries’ transfer windows remain open, and Spurs are willing to sanction a temporary exit to accelerate his departure.
