James Maddison reacted to an announcement from Tottenham teammate Richarlison after the striker was slammed by his own supporters.
The Brazilian joined Spurs in the summer of 2022 for £60million [Sky Sports], after four fantastic seasons with Everton.
However, his time in North London has been plagued by injury issues, poor form, and the ever-revolving door through which four managers have come and gone in the time he has been at the club.

As a consequence, Richarlison has been linked with a move back to both Everton and his native Brazil.
But despite the links, no club has made a concrete move for the 28-year-old, and his performances against Arsenal will have done little to bolster his chances of a move away.
Both North London sides faced off against each other in their pre-season tour of Asia, with Tottenham coming out on top thanks to a wonder-strike from Pape Matar Sarr.

Richarlison himself endured a miserable performance, and fans were quick to voice their discontent with the ex-Everton man’s “brutal” display on social media.

However, in keeping with his reputation as a fun-loving guy, the Brazilian striker posed with Sarr’s man of the match award on Instagram.
Maddison liked the post, before Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes fired a shot at his Brazil teammate by sharing a picture of his three man of the match trophies from various North London derbies in recent years.
Football Insider Verdict
For several reasons, Richarlison could really do with an exit from North London this summer.
New boss Thomas Frank has been quick to bolster the attacking options available to him by signing Mathys Tel permanently and Mohammed Kudus from West Ham.
The Frenchman’s re-arrival in North London is a major issue for Richarlison, as both players occupy the same positions.

However, Tel is the shiny new toy, and at 20 years old, is a player that Tottenham will want to give every chance to, in an effort to help him realise his potential.
What’s more, Richarlison finds himself on the outskirts of Brazil’s national team set-up, and another poor year could see him miss out on a trip to North America to take part in next year’s World Cup.
