James Tavernier appeared to welcome a new addition to Russell Martin’s Rangers side following a new announcement at Rangers.
Rumours have been floating around the veteran right-back’s future this summer, potentially bringing an end to his decade-long stay at Ibrox, but there has been little movement with a month left of the window.
The Gers have been busy in the transfer window, however, with Djeidi Gassama, Nasser Djiga, Thelo Aasgaard, Emmanuel Fernandez, Joe Rothwell, and Max Aarons joining ahead of a new season.
An exit has now been sealed for defender Robin Propper, just one year after arriving from FC Twente, with Martin’s reign well and truly underway, and Barry Ferguson‘s spell quickly forgotten about.
The excitement does not stop there, though, with a brand-new arrival being announced a day before the Light Blues’ opening Scottish Premiership clash against Motherwell on Saturday, 2 August.

Taking to Instagram (1 August), the official club account wrote: “Welcome to Rangers, Mikey Moore,” with a blue love heart, as the 17-year-old joins on loan from Tottenham.

The post caught the attention of many, including the player’s Spurs teammates Maddison and Micky van de Ven, as well as new teammate and Gers’ legend, Tavernier.
Moore also responded to the announcement with two blue love hearts.

Football Insider verdict
Jack Butland, Jefte, Ben Davies, Jose Cifuentes, and Hamza Igamane have all been linked with exits, with John Souttar also facing an uncertain contract situation, still waiting for talks to open at Ibrox.
Three clubs have emerged in the race to sign Rangers star Igamane after his move to Lille broke down, but losing the 22-year-old just one year after arriving would be a huge blow for the Light Blues.
Of course, Moore has now arrived on loan from North London, and having become Spurs’ youngest-ever appearance-maker in the Premier League, supporters are excited to see him get going.

Martin already appears to have the backing of the supporters, having made it to the next round of Champions League qualifiers after beating Panathinaikos across two legs.
The Gers, however, are set to miss out on a new defender as Football Insider understands that Wrexham have submitted a bid for Conor Coady, and that will be a blow at Ibrox.
After such a torrid 2024/25 campaign, all involved at Ibrox will want to challenge their Old Firm rivals, Celtic, in the Scottish Premiership title race and have an exciting journey in Europe.
