Liverpool players have been enjoying themselves this week as their Premier League-winning celebrations continued.
After drawing against Arsenal last weekend, the Reds jetted off for a squad holiday to Dubai.
The trip was billed as a way to say goodbye to Trent Alexander-Arnold as he prepares to leave Liverpool at the end of his contract.
With Arne Slot spotted in Ibiza ahead of Monday’s game against Brighton, it’s fair to wonder what kind of shape the Liverpool squad will be in at the Amex Stadium.
As well as the various holidays, though, footage also began to emerge over the weekend of a party at the Liverpool training ground on Friday.
With players and staff seen living it up amongst a ‘Summer of 66? themed get-together, fans have surmised that it must have been a party held for the outgoing Alexander-Arnold.
As supporters’ anger mounted, journalist James Pearce attempted to explain the situation.

It will be fascinating to see what Slot decides to do with Alexander-Arnold for Monday’s game.
Being away from Anfield, he can perhaps get away with picking the right-back one last time.
But after all the discourse since last week’s boo-fest against Arsenal, it would seem incredibly unwise for Slot to field Alexander-Arnold on the final day against Crystal Palace.

And if some supporters’ feelings had started to die down, then the sight of their right-back smiling and enjoying a party named in his own honour at the training ground has brought them right back.
According to Pearce, though, the party was all of Alexander-Arnold’s making and should be seen as ‘pretty standard stuff’ for a departing player.

“Liverpool did not ‘throw a party’ for Trent Alexander-Arnold,” Pearce said on X.
“There was a barbecue at the AXA Training Centre on Friday.
Roberto Firmino may have thrown a party for players and staff before the end of his time at Liverpool, but the situations are completely different.
Firmino was walking away as a veteran player who had given all he could give.
The Brazilian waited until his contract had expired before talking to any other club and had not even been offered a new deal by Liverpool.
Alexander-Arnold, on the other hand, has reportedly rejected numerous attempts for Liverpool to keep him and his exit has fostered an openly toxic environment in the stands at Anfield.
Fairly or not, the Scouser leaving has brought the fanbase into disrepute and scenes such as the ones posted by party-goers on social media are not going to help his cause.
For the Liverpool players to be openly celebrating their teammate is, of course, absolutely fine, but it would be nice if Alexander-Arnold could read the room at some stage during his exit.
