Jamie Carragher has brutally told Manchester United star Casemiro to 'call it a day' playing top-level football.
Casemiro, 32, filled in at centre-back and as captain on Monday, as injury-hit United were pumped 4-0 by 14th-placed Crystal Palace in one of manager Erik ten Hag's darkest days in charge.
The five-time Champions League-winning midfielder was humiliatingly caught out for Palace's first goal and endured a woeful opening 45 minutes, yet Ten Hag kept him on for the second half.
His gamble didn't pay off, with Casemiro continuing to struggle and being at fault for Palace's third goal at a rocking Selhurst Park - another strike from United transfer target Michael Olise.
"I said at half-time that he had to bring Casemiro off," the Liverpool legend began on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.
"I know he's got kids on the bench but I think Casemiro - I am being deadly serious - should know himself tonight, as an experienced player, that he should only have another three games at the top level, the next three league games and the FA Cup final, and thinking 'I need to go the MLS or Saudi [Pro League]'."
Carragher then reiterated: "I am being deadly serious.

Ten Hag, who signed Casemiro from Real Madrid for £60million in August 2022, attempted to shift the blame, arguing.
