Jamie Carragher has faced some backlash from a fellow pundit following his scathing criticism of Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate.
Carragher was left far from impressed with the Frenchman’s performance in the Reds’ 4-2 win over Bournemouth on Friday.
Konate was not only criticised by the former defender, but also a number of fans on social media for his display, and in particular his role in Antoine Semenyo’s second goal.

Carragher, who was commentating on the game for Sky Sports, was left seething with the 26-year-old, and didn’t mask his opinion on his performance.
"For Semenyo to run that far and get his shot away is incredible - but where is Konate going?” Carragher said on Friday.

It’s the first game of the season, it’s pretty early to be jumping on his case.”
The backlash against Konate comes amid ongoing speculation over his future, with the defender having entered the final year of his contract at Anfield.
Talks with Liverpool over a new deal have seemingly stalled, with Real Madrid being linked with a potential move either this summer, or more likely next year when he’s available for free.
Not only is Konate being linked with a move to the Bernabeu, but reports in Spain also suggest that Barcelona is interested, with Sempre Barca claiming the Catalan club has held talks with the Frenchman’s representatives.
Liverpool has already signed one new center-back following the addition of 18-year-old Giovanni Leoni from Parma on Friday, and another may yet follow during the final couple of weeks of the window.
Talks will reportedly recommence with Crystal Palace over a potential move for Marc Guehi, with the England international also out of contract next year.
