Jamie Carragher has outlined the key moves he believes Liverpool must make this summer to back new manager Arne Slot and take the club to the next level.

However, Slot's only made one addition to his side last summer in Federico Chiesa and Carragher believes to give Liverpool the chance to win back-to-back titles, it needs to add more depth to the squad.

In his latest Telegraph column, the Sky Sports pundit outlined a number of positions the Reds need to strengthen this summer.

"In all honesty, when looking at Slot’s squad, it feels like he may need as many as six before next summer.

"That is a statement you would expect to make about an underperforming team, or one requiring an overhaul.

"Liverpool needs a center-back to ensure there is no crisis if Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté are unavailable.
