Man United scraped their first victory of the new season against Burnley last weekend, scoring deep in stoppage time to win 3-2.

That result followed the massive embarrassment in the Carabao Cup, as the Red Devils were beaten by League Two Grimsby Town.

Amorim's side lost to Arsenal and drew to Fulham in the opening two top-flight games too, despite spending over £200million during the summer transfer window.

The concerning start to the 2025/26 campaign comes after United finished in their worst-ever top-flight position last term.

Petit told talkSPORT's White and Jordan: "I'm thinking this guy, I'm pretty sure he's a very good guy.

"He's still a very good manager but he's living a nightmare, just like others have been living nightmares on the bench at Manchester United."

"I'm going to say that sometimes I hate my players, sometimes I love my players, sometimes I want to defend my players.
