Jamie Carragher has posted a heartfelt message on social media after a incident at the end of Liverpool's open top bus parade.

The Reds toured the city with the Premier League trophy on Bank Holiday Monday, having officially been presented with their latest piece of silverware after the final game of the season.

But an incident towards the end of the parade brought a dark cloud over proceedings.

Merseyside Police confirmed that people had been hit by a car on Water Street and that a 53-year-old man had been arrested.

Carragher would take to social media after the incident to share his shock as he sent his support to all those affected.
