Anfield icon Carragher had hinted that Ekitike could be a more suitable fit for Liverpool than Isak, particularly after being impressed by his performance when he netted against Tottenham in the Europa League in April.
"There's the lad at Eintracht Frankfurt who scored against Tottenham in the week, and I'm not going to try and pronounce his name!" Carragher remarked on the It's Called Soccer podcast.
