Jadon Sancho has been slammed for his lack of talent in a brutal assessment from Jamie Carragher.

Villa will pay 80 per cent of Sancho's wages and the winger said he was "inspired" when he discussed the move with Unai Emery.

United legend Paul Scholes reckons that Emery can help Sancho rediscover his best form after Rashford's encouraging stint in Birmingham last season, but isn't confident.

"Unai Emery might be good for Sancho but I do think it's a weird signing," Scholes said.
