Mads Hermansen’s new club has been confirmed but Jamie Vardy is still without one after his exit from Leicester City.
Leicester‘s relegation from the Premier League last season has led to a summer of change at the King Power Stadium, by far the biggest of which was Vardy‘s departure from the club after 13 seasons.
Vardy confirmed his exit before scoring his 200th goal in his 500th game for Leicester against Ipswich in their penultimate match of the season, yet the 38-year-old is still without a new club three months on.
Celtic and Rangers have both been linked with moves to take Vardy north of the border this summer, but the Old Firm duo are yet to strike a deal with the veteran despite both having clear deficiencies up front.

Football Insider revealed last month that Brimingham City have also registered their interest in signing Vardy this summer, but the striker remains a free agent with the new Championship season underway.
At the other end of Leicester’s relegated side from last season, Hermansen has also left the King Power Stadium after several Premier League clubs including West Ham United declared their own interest.
Football Insider reported that Leicester would command a £20million fee in order to sell Hermansen to any club keen on the Dane, and that’s exactly what West Ham paid to confirm his signing on 9 August.

After his move to the London Stadium, Hermansen posted on Instagram (10 August) to say goodbye to Leicester’s fans, players and coaching staff, and in a message liked by Vardy, he said: “Dear LCFC…
“I want to thank you for everything over the last two seasons.
Thank you for everything, Mads.”
Football Insider Verdict
The longer Scottish football’s two giants wait to step up their interest in Vardy this summer, the more likely he is to stay put in England amid the interest from Birmingham and fellow Midlands side Wolves.

Celtic are still searching for a successor to Kyogo Furuhashi as fans’ frustrations grow with Adam Idah at Parkhead, and it’s likely that supporters would like the look of Vardy in green and white hoops next term.
Rangers also risk being leapfrogged by Celtic in the race to sign Vardy amid attacking struggles of their own at Ibrox, and with both sides already into the thick of the new campaign, taking a punt on a striker of Vardy’s quality makes more and more sense.
