West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has had to issue an apology after the Hammers’ League Cup exit to Wolves.
Graham Potter is under pressure at West Ham, and his side could not record a morale boosting victory in the League Cup against Premier League opposition despite leading with less than ten minutes to go.
Goals from Tomas Soucek and Lucas Pauqeta had turned the tie around for West Ham after Rodrigo Gomes has put the home side ahead in the first half.
Substitute Jorgen Strand Larsen though netted a quick fire double, within two minutes of each other to send West Ham out of the competition and consign them to a third straight defeat.

Stewards had to intervene after Bowen appeared to get angered by a comment from a supporter.
The scenes showed the current discord with players and supporters over the poor form the club have showed at the beginning of this season.
