Patrick Bamford’s Leeds United teammates have reacted to the news that the striker has left Elland Road.
After the 31-year-old won two promotions with the Whites, Leeds confirmed Bamford’s exit via a mutual agreement on Thursday, 28 August.
The forward failed to make a Championship start as Daniel Farke’s men won the second-tier title last campaign.
Meanwhile, Leeds have signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha this summer, making Bamford surplus to requirements.

Meanwhile, the West Yorkshire club are set to continue their top-flight survival battle without former stalwart Bamford.
The Elland Road club confirmed via Instagram on 28 August: “Forever our two-time champion.

While the 31-year-old played a minor role as the Whites achieved second-tier glory last term, supporters will never forget his return of 16 goals in 2019/20, which helped the West Yorkshire side earn promotion to the Premier League.
The former Middlesbrough man went on to score 17 goals in the 2020/21 top-flight season under Marcelo Bielsa, earning an international cap for England.
While Bamford’s game time at Leeds diminished in recent seasons, he remained an important figure whose experience in the dressing room helped Daniel Farke’s side return to the Premier League.
However, the one-cap England international is now set for pastures new, after spending the last seven seasons with the Elland Road side.
Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Bamford is open to a move abroad.
Meanwhile, football commentator Ian Darke has backed Farke’s men to sign West Brom star Tom Fellows in an MOT Leeds News exclusive.
