At the moment, it’s clear that the Reds’ first-team squad haven’t fully gelled just yet, but once they do, it’s going to be hard for any other team to beat them.
However, while their form this season has been impeccable, they haven’t managed to win all five of their Premier League games without a stroke of luck.

And, while playing for Bayer Leverkusen, Frimpong and Wirtz had plenty of luck themselves, with last-minute goals being the main reason why they won the Bundesliga back in the 2023-24 season.
Although Wirtz and Frimpong haven’t been the Reds’ best players this season, it seems like they’ve managed to bring their last-minute winning voodoo with them to Anfield.

Whether that’s due to the way that Slot has managed his team or whether it’s down to just pure luck, it feels like Wirtz and Frimpong have brought it with them from Leverkusen.
And, if the season ends like Leverkusen’s 2023-24 campaign did, the Reds’ fanbase will be more than happy.
