Jeremie Frimpong says he is "really excited" to have joined Liverpool, where he will link up once again with his former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Florian Wirtz.

"I'm really looking forward to playing with Liverpool.

Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz have both made the move to Liverpool this summer.



He said he really wanted me at Liverpool and that I would fit well into the team.

"And when you hear that Arne Slot wants you — and then to play for Liverpool too — that's just an honor, you know.

"I’m playing for Liverpool, what more can I say?" Frimpong said in his first interview as a Reds player

For me, it was like, ‘Whatever you guys do, just get this done’, [speaking to] my agents: ‘Just get this done.’ It went quite smoothly, there were no problems."
