“The likes of Flo, Milos, myself, we're playing great players you know so it makes it easier to play,” Frimpong told LFCTV on Saturday, following the pre-season encounter against AC Milan.
“Yeah of course, like I said, I knew a few of the boys, so obviously it made it easier for me.
They're all good, we all get along so it to ease your all of us.”
Frimpong, like the majority of Liverpool’s players, got 45 minutes under his belt during Saturday’s 4-2 defeat by Milan.
Like in previous friendlies, the former Manchester City youth-team player was deployed in a more advanced right wing position, compared to his more natural right-back role.
Frimpong has played in a more offensive role so far in pre-season
I'm an attacking full-back, you know, so if I play right wing, right-back, right wing-back, I play the same anyway.
“So, yeah, wherever the manager wants to play me, that's what I play.”
While disappointed by the result on Saturday, Frimpong reiterated that gaining fitness levels is the priority at this stage.
“Of course, even though it's pre-season, no one likes to lose
But pre-season is to get fit, so we're getting there, we're getting fit.”
