Liverpool has confirmed the signing of Jeremie Frimpong, with the right-back becoming the Reds' first new signing ahead of the summer transfer window opening.

Frimpong will arrive as Trent Alexander-Arnold departs Liverpool, with the former Celtic star set to battle it out with Conor Bradley - who has signed a new four-year deal - for the right-back berth in Arne Slot's team.

"Of course when I was younger and Liverpool first came, that was a no-brainer as well, but due to transportation and all these sorts of things, I had to go a different way.
