Liverpool have been informed how much they will need to pay to sign Jeremie Frimpong this summer.
The Reds are likely to be on the market for a new right-back to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who announced on Monday that he will be leaving upon the expiry of his contract in June.
Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer, leaving a massive whole for Arne Slot to fill ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Whilst Liverpool could save millions by simply promoting Conor Bradley, who has proven to be a capable understudy for the England international in the past two seasons, it had been widely reported that they will step up interest in Frimpong.
Capable of operating in any position on the right-hand side, Frimpong has been a consistent provider of goal contributions for Bayer Leverkusen.
Such form has prompted links to a host of top clubs in Europe which means the Merseyside giants will have to act fast should they wish to recruit the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window.
As previously reported by Fabrizio Romano, how much Liverpool will have to pay to sign Frimpong has already been ‘revealed’ as the Dutchman has a €40m (£36m) release clause that becomes active in the summer.
