And, although all these additions have forced Liverpool to spend almost £200million this summer, it doesn’t seem like they’re going to be stopping there.
Since the summer transfer window opened at the start of June, Alexander Isak has been linked with a move to Liverpool.
And, on Tuesday afternoon, Liverpool made their first approach to Newcastle to see if a deal could be struck between the two clubs regarding a potential move.

“A signing like Isak, that is huge, because he’s the best striker in the Premier League without a doubt,” Pennant said.
Jamie O’Hara then replied with: “I mean look, there’s no guarantees in life but I think if you put this team together that they’ve put together, Florian Wirtz, Frimpong, Kerkez and you bring in Isak as well, you’ve tied down Salah you’ve got Van Dijk, I mean we are looking at a super team.”
Throughout the transfer window, it’s been clear that Liverpool are in the market for a new striker with players such as Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike among those linked.
And, even though Newcastle have stood firm and said that Isak isn’t for sale, if the striker’s head is turned by the Reds’ interest, it’ll be hard for Eddie Howe to stop him from pursuing the move.

Most fans likely expected Liverpool to add just one or two more low-cost players to their ranks this summer, but instead, it’s been the exact opposite.
If Slot and Richard Hughes do somehow manage to pull off the transfer of Isak, there’s no denying that this will be one of the Merseyside outfit’s best-ever transfer windows, with it also being a major statement of intent on their behalf.
