Harvey Elliott has been in fine form during the Under-21s World Cup, with the Englishman seemingly having a point to prove after Arne Slot chose against giving him much playing time last season.
However, after his performances at the Under-21s World Cup for England, he’s certainly making a name for himself with former Liverpool man Joe Cole believing that he’s set to go to the very top.
His learning has been spread out, very similar to [Phil] Foden where he was used sparingly over a longer period of time, there is more to come from him.
“Performing like he has done at this tournament, I think there will be teams all around Europe looking for Harvey Elliott agent’s number and thinking maybe he’s right for them.”

When Klopp was the man at the helm, Elliott played a vital role in his set-up and was used in almost every other game.
However, if Liverpool want to continue being competitive and the team to beat in the Premier League, they have to look at selling players, and Elliott should be on the chopping block.
Now, that’s not because he isn’t good enough, but with the arrival of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen and the fact that Szoboszlai is set to stay, there hardly seems to be any chance of him earning more playing time.

Although Elliott’s sale would no doubt hurt fans, it’s the best thing for him at the moment, so his development can continue.
Wherever he’s shipped off to, as long as Liverpool add a buy-back clause into the deal, like they have with Jarell Quansah, they’d be setting themselves up nicely, especially if his form from the Under-21s World Cup carries on.
