Recently departed Liverpool coach John Heitinga is “seriously considering” bringing goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros on loan to Ajax next season, according to a report in the Netherlands.
As third-choice goalkeeper, Jaros' signature seems an attainable target for Ajax, who finished second this season, a point behind PSV Eindhoven.
Vitezslav Jaros has been Liverpool's third-choice goalkeeper this season.
He has spent time on loan at four different clubs since 2021, including spells at Notts County and Stockport County.
After returning from a short-term stint at Austrian side Sturm Graz last summer, Jaros remained with the Liverpool squad and made his senior debut in October.
With Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher both injured, the Czech keeper came on for the final 11 minutes of Liverpool’s win away at Crystal Palace
Should he depart Liverpool, Jaros would be the second keeper to leave this summer
Kelleher’s transfer to Brentford was confirmed this week for a fee of up to £18 million ($24 million)
Despite the Irishman’s exit, Jaros is still in line to be the third choice next season, given the imminent arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.
The Reds also confirmed the signing of Armin Pecsi for $2 million (£1.5 million), although the youngster is expected to play mainly for the Under-21s next season
