It could be a hard season for any team facing Liverpool in the Premier League this season.

Already, Arne Slot’s machine have got off to a flying start with three wins out of three, despite some rocky moments in the first few performances; they are once again showing why they were champions last season.

Their most recent win against Arsenal saw a moment of Dominik Szoboszlai brilliance when he netted a free-kick in the 1-0 victory, securing their first clean sheet of the season.

While they were not able to get their centre-back target in Marc Guehi, signings like Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez have been welcome additions to a slightly new-look backline.

This transformation is unlike anything seen in a single transfer window in their history, as big-money signings of international stars just became the norm for fans over the summer.

It is not only an investment in the future of the squad, but it is a statement of intent to rivals looking to derail their momentum, as Slot has done an impeccable job so far of instilling his philosophy into the group.

Their opposition’s former players have also taken notice of how they have shaped up over the window, with former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel almost in awe of the way they have operated over the summer.

On The Obi One Podcast, he believed that whilst his former side had a great transfer window, there was just something a bit special about this new-look Liverpool side.

Mikel said: “I think the way Liverpool are playing, they look really strong.

Arne Slot again, they’ve brought in some unbelievable players.

“It looks like when you talk about the Galacticos of Spain, you know, the Real Madrid, they look like the Galacticos of England.

The players that Arne Slot has brought into the football club now Isak has joined.

“Liverpool, they look scary on paper, they look scary, but this is the Premier League, the Premier League is the toughest league in the world.”

The aim this season so far is to defend the title Slot won in his first season, when many doubted the side in transition would be victorious.

However, with the Champions League around the corner, it is important that the Dutchman can get his side to replicate their start from last season’s competition and bring a bit of something from his league wins thus far.

Each game this season for the Merseyside club has seen something different, but it has been a moment of magic that has brought them out of tough situations.

With players like Rio Ngumoha set to feature in the squad for the European competition, after his history-making winner against Newcastle United, now more than ever, Liverpool have to use their talents to produce stunning moments if they are to go far this season.

A loss to the winners last season was a blow for the team; however, their performance and attitude were exceptional.

Pair that with players who can produce something extraordinary, and the Reds will definitely have a recipe for a European Cup-winning campaign.
