Liverpool winning back-to-back Premier League titles would be an incredible achievement.
Since Arne Slot arrived at the club, he has had an impact that many did not predict, winning a league title in his first season as the manager and strengthening the Reds’ hopes of dominating English football for the foreseeable future once again.
His first season saw him inherit a great squad of players from Jurgen Klopp and make them into an almost unstoppable force when they lifted the league in April with four games to spare.
Now, following on from that success, a £400 million transfer window has rejuvenated the side with additions up front, in midfield, and at full back, completing the new look of the team.

As all this is now in place, Slot does have to make decisions on how he will rotate their side to get the best out of his players, with early signs that Alexander Isak will be expected at full strength playing 90 minutes in the next three months.
It is obviously tricky, given the one problem highlighted by Michail Antonio about Isak coming into the side with Hugo Ekitike likely having to share minutes between him and Cody Gakpo, even after an impressive start.
But no matter how the manager decides to line their side up, there is enough depth across most areas of the pitch to put up a big defence of the title.
John Terry, the Chelsea legend, is one of those pundits backing Liverpool to retain their crown despite his love for the London club.

But for Terry, there is only one reason why the Merseyside club have to win it, and it is one which will resonate with all supporters.
In an interview with talkSPORT, he said: “I think it’s theirs to lose, to be honest, I think they have a big motivation with the very sad loss of Diogo Jota in the back of their minds as well.
For that reason, I really hope Liverpool do it for that reason alone to be honest.
“So I think they’re the strongest side, I think Man City have shown vulnerability again this season.
I’m not sure Chelsea have enough experience within their squad to push them, and also don’t want to put the pressure on the Chelsea squad as well, so I think it’s Liverpool’s to lose, and like I said, I wish them well for it.”
After Diogo Jota’s tragic passing in July, it would be incredibly poignant for their side to win the title in his memory as fans continue to celebrate his life with incredible gestures in each game this season.
Whilst wins over Newcastle United, Arsenal, and Bournemouth have been a perfect start to proceedings, the importance of showing strength against the newly promoted sides is needed to make a statement of intent.
A ruthless performance is what is needed to kick things into gear, and with the defensive fragilities of Burnley so far this season, they will need to be exploited in impressive fashion.
It cannot just be a routine 1-0 or 2-0 victory; it needs to be high scoring to really show teams across the league that the Merseyside giants mean business this season.
