Jorgen Strand Larsen may have a hidden release clause in his new contract that would allow him to move when the transfer window reopens.
Last week (19 September), Strand Larsen penned a new five-year deal with Wolves, keeping him at the club until 2030.
The 25-year-old was only on loan at Molineux from Celta Vigo last season, but his option to buy clause was triggered at the end of the campaign after he scored 14 Premier League goals.
Newcastle United had several bids rejected for Strand Larsen over the summer, so the Old Gold will hope that his contract extension reduces the interest around him.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Norweigan has a release clause in his new deal, which could make it harder for Wolves to hang onto their star man.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that, as per his sources, Strand Larsen has an “escape clause” which allows him to leave if a certain standard of club comes in for him.
The centre-forward’s agent will have named a number of top-level sides who, if they made a high enough bid, Wolves would be forced to sell to.

However, Wyness added that he doesn’t yet see top-level clubs coming in for Strand Larsen.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I believe there are a number of named clubs at a certain level that, if they come in for him, then he can go to.
You can name maybe six clubs that could come in for you, and if they come in at a certain level, then you have the right to go.
So I think that’s the sort of clause he’s got.
“I don’t see him yet as being on the top of every club’s shortlist, but I think that’s the sort of escape clause he will have.
“However, I don’t see that level of club coming in for him.
I think that’s wishful thinking by his agent, to be honest.”
It has been a difficult start to the season for Strand Larsen, who missed a number of Wolves games due to an Achilles injury.
At the end of August, the striker scored two goals against West Ham United in the Carabao Cup, before sitting out the next two Premier League games.
However, Strand Larsen returned from injury against Leeds United, playing the second half of their 3-1 defeat before managing 68 minutes of their Carabao Cup win over Everton on Tuesday (23 September).

Wolves currently sit bottom of the Premier League, without a single point from their first five games, so they desperately need their talisman back firing to help them away from the relegation zone.
