Liverpool got the majority of their transfer business done early in the summer but there are still some deals that need to be done.
The Reds really have given their fans a summer to remember and luckily for them, it is far from over.
Arne Slot now has even more top quality players at his disposal and Liverpool have given themselves the best chance to retain their title.
However, there are still areas where they look a little thin and this could reduce even further, with outgoings still expected to occur.
And, despite reports elsewhere suggesting that one player in particular might now be staying, the consensus now is that he will be departing Anfield in the final week of the transfer window.

Liverpool’s attack truly is frightening but one problem that they might have in this area of the pitch is squad depth.
With Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez departing, as well as the tragic death of Diogo Jota, the Reds are now short of options, with arrivals rumoured but nothing yet being made clear.
However, they could be about to let another player leave, with winger Federico Chiesa being linked with an exit all summer.

And now, despite rumours of a meeting with Slot, journalist Lewis Steele has revealed that his sources in Italy have stated that he will return home in the last week of the window.
“As for Chiesa, I saw a report yesterday saying that Liverpool have asked him to stay around, I’ve not heard anything to suggest that is true at this moment,” Steele said on his YouTube channel.

“And the guy I was speaking to in Italy about Leoni, I asked them what is going on with Chiesa and they basically said that in the last week of the window he will go back to Italy, so let’s wait and see on that one.”
The lack of options of the Reds suggested that the Italian would be needed next season and that he could be a key player under Slot, but as the window is nearing the end, so too is Chiesa’s time on Merseyside.
Even though he has barely kicked a football in a Liverpool shirt, Chiesa is absolutely adored by supporters and his chant is one of the most popular at Anfield.
And, despite barely being able to show it last season due to injuries, he very clearly has talent and could become a very important figure as Liverpool aim to defend their title.
Now, however, he might have the best chance possible due to Slot’s limited options, meaning that the club need to try and convince him to stay so they have back-up if needed.
If a player like Harvey Elliott departs too, which seems very likely, Chiesa will be needed more than ever before, and at 27, he could still have a fruitful Liverpool career ahead of him.
