Liverpool are still looking to sign some more players before the transfer window shuts, with Alexander Isak top of their wishlist.
The Reds have already spent just under £300m this summer but they are willing to break the bank once more when it comes to Isak.
They desperately want the Swede and he also wants the move to Anfield, but the saga has reached a stalemate while Newcastle seek replacements.
Liverpool are still waiting to pounce and will feel confident that they will get the 25-year-old, but even if they do sign him, many still believe they are a little light in attack.
Supporters think that more signings are needed in the forward line on top of Isak, but what journalist David Lynch has been told would suggest that the Reds will not be doing that.

With Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz both leaving, as well as losing Diogo Jota following his tragic death, Liverpool are very short of attacking options, with the likes of Federico Chiesa and Rio Ngumoha the only viable attacking options off the bench.
Although both have quality in abundance, relying heavily on an injury-prone winger and a 16-year-old would feel far from smart as they aim to defend their title, suggests reinforcements are needed.
However, based on what Lynch has been told by those connected with the club, he gets the impression that it will be Isak and that is it.

“I had another conversation yesterday and I would be very surprised if they signed another forward on top of Isak.
I think that will be it to be honest,” he said on the Anfield Index YouTube channel.
“I know there are a lot of rumours doing the rounds, none of them really concrete to be honest, but a lot of talk of that being the possibility.

“But I wrote something saying how they would put faith in Ngumoha, would use Frimpong in the frontline and that Wirtz is seen as a genuine option there, and the conversation I had yesterday just reinforced that feeling.
“There’s no expectation that they will sign a winger, so I think it will just be Isak.
I don’t get the massive impression that if Isak comes there will be anything else after that to be honest and genuinely from the conversations I’ve been having, that will be the lot.
It seems rather greedy to say that Liverpool still need three signings after spending almost £300m, but that is the case due to the players they have also lost.
As well as having to get Isak through the door, perhaps due to how this saga has played out rather than genuinely needing him, a winger is also required.
Squad depth is something that can help win a league title, and as of now, the Reds do not have that and will struggle when the games start to pile up.
As well as two attacking reinforcements, an experienced centre-back is also needed due to a shortage at the back and because of Ibrahima Konate’s contract situation.
Marc Guehi is the obvious candidate and would be a very smart addition for Liverpool, although their refusal to pay a little bit extra will make fans a little worried that the club are not too convinced by him.
