Transfer window excitement has ramped up at Liverpool this week with details emerging over two potential deals.
Firstly, the Reds look set to complete the signing of Jeremie Frimpong as their first addition of the summer.
Frimpong’s arrival could even be sealed by the weekend as Liverpool move quickly to plug the hole left by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Secondly, and perhaps more excitingly, is the news that Liverpool are keen on signing Florian Wirtz in a mega deal from Bayer Leverkusen.
Wirtz had been expected to join Bayern Munich this summer, but with the 22-year-old potentially on the market, Liverpool have thrown their hat into the ring.
And after a secretly scheduled meeting reportedly took place on Tuesday between Wirtz, his parents and Liverpool, journalist Christian Falk has provided more details of what took place.

The news that Wirtz travelled to England for meetings with Liverpool and Manchester City has caused a big stir in Germany.
As one of the more visible German reporters, Falk has been writing in his Fact Files column to provide the latest on the transfer saga, including some interesting details about the private jet Wirtz used to travel to Liverpool.

“As I revealed exclusively on Tuesday, the Wirtz family took a flight to England,” says Falk.
The Wirtz family took off at 10 AM and flew to England in the twin-engine Embraer Legacy 550 jet.
At 5:40 PM (German time), the jet took off from Manchester Airport back towards Maastricht-Aachen, where the family’s car was parked.
The small airport behind the German-Dutch border had obviously been chosen to avoid causing a stir.”

Commenting on the current state of affairs, Falk went on to claim that while Liverpool lead Man City, Bayern are still expected to complete the deal for Wirtz.
“We have already reported that Manchester City have made an offer for the German,” he says.
So Pep Guardiola’s club are prepared to leave the poker against Bayern and Liverpool for Wirtz.”
Part of the reason Wirtz travelled to England was reportedly because he and his family had grown frustrated at claims that his move to Bayern was basically a done deal.
If his intention was to make the Bundesliga champions sweat, then it appears to have worked.
Asked about Wirtz in a press conference on Friday, Bayern director of football Max Eberl gave his take on the situation.
“If Florian Wirtz and his family made this trip, they’ll have their reasons,” Eberl said.
Florian Wirtz is free to visit Liverpool, Manchester, Madrid or whatever with his family and friends.”
Bayern still appear to be front-runners for now, but it feels like this still has plenty of twists and turns to take.
